The family of a man who died while staying at a casino in Las Vegas has filed a wrongful death suit against the property. Jeff Kriener’s family and estate seek compensation exceeding $50,000, claiming the Tuscany Suites and Casino neglected the 66-year-old’s “rapidly deteriorating” health during his stay.

staff knew about his diabetes and wheelchair usage

The Florida resident arrived at the property on May 29 for a business trip, and staff knew about his diabetes and wheelchair usage. He fell several times during his stay, and despite a request from his business associate for staff to conduct regular welfare checks, employees allegedly never did so.

Kriener ultimately passed away on May 30 in his hotel room, leaving behind a wife and two children. He worked in media broadcasting for decades, including at CBS, where he won an Emmy Award.
