Two people were stabbed and another person was shot at a Summerlin hotel and casino in the early hours on Saturday, police said.

The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the violent incident, which occurred around 1:22 a.m. at Red Rock Resort, 11000 W. Charleston Blvd., according to a news release.

All three people were transported to University Medical Center, and two were in critical condition.

Andrew Rothbart, 48, a local resident who was at Red Rock Resort on Friday night and the early hours of Saturday morning, said that many of the people he spoke with, particularly employees, were traumatized by the incident.
