For many, Wednesday’s news that the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol delayed the opening of their permanent casino resort came as a shock.

Hard Rock officials, however, want to urge that the delay is not as bad as some might think.

“Personally, and as a team here on the property, we’re very happy that we had the opportunity to make this decision,” said Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol President Allie Evangelista. “It sounds like a letdown, but the truth is we know how amazing the property is turning out to be.”

Evangelista said that initially, the casino resort did not have much of a choice in their opening date, due to regulatory requirements that dictated that the opening date be in July 2024 —two years after the opening of its temporary casino.
