Directorate General for the Regulation of Gambling (DGOJ) has released financial figures for Spain’s online gambling market for the second quarter of 2024. In total, gross gaming revenue (GGR) reached €346.3m ($386.5m) during the period, representing an increase of 10.79% year-on-year.
Looking at the individual segments, betting, bingo and casino saw growth, while poker saw a decline and contests registered no activity during Q2.
Casino held the largest share of the GGR with 49.57%, with betting not far behind at 42%. This left poker with 7.38% and bingo with 1.04% of the market.
For the actual figures, betting went up 9.13% from the same period last year to €145.48m, while casino rose 14.57% to €171.69m and bingo was 1.87% higher than Q2 2023 at €3.61m.
