Novomatic Americas this week announced the appointment of Alexander Merwald as the company’s new CEO. Merwald succeeds Rick Meitzler, who was an executive with Novomatic for more than a decade.

Merwald has been with Novomatic since 2012, first serving as the head of Novomatic AG’s mergers & acquisitions department. He was appointed managing director of Novomatic AG Africa in 2021.

Merwald will join other members of Novomatic Americas’ management board, including Chief Financial Officer Len Busche and Chief Compliance Officer Sabine Stoppel.
