You can earn sports bonus from your first deposit of $10 or more. This promo is unique in that no first bet is required to begin earning the sports bonus; however, after earning the bonus, you’ll have a few requirements to follow.

First, you’ll have seven days to use the sports bonus as funds for wagers within the BetMGM platform. If you profit cash from these wagers, you won’t be able to withdraw the cash until you meet the next requirement.

You’ll have to cash wager 10x the bonus earned in the first 30 days of opening the account. For example, if I deposit $500 and earn $100 in sports bonus, I’ll need to cash wager a total $1,000 in that 30 day timeframe.

The cash betting requirement can be achieved via multiple bets in the first 30 days and you can access the cash in your account once you fulfill the rule.

Alternatively, the first bet insurance is among the highest-value insurance offers you’ll find among sports betting apps. The promo can play out two different ways depending on the outcome of your first bet:

Win — This is treated like a normal winning wager and profits cash and returns your stake

Miss — BetMGM will reimburse your stake loss with bonus bets

If your first bet is $50 or less, BetMGM sends you one bonus bet chunk to use. Meanwhile, if your wager was $51 or more, BetMGM recoups your stake loss with five payments of bonus bets.

These bonus bets won’t be split up the same way you might use them on platforms such as FanDuel.

For example, if I wager $20 and lose, earning a $20 bonus bet, I’ll need to use that entire $20 chunk on a wager. A bigger losing wager, such as $500, earns five chunks of $100 bonus bets and I’ll need to use each $100 on one wager.

You’ll have to wait until Sunday to find the Copa America and Euro 2024 finals. Until then, you can still find extensive sporting events such as a jam-packed Friday night MLB slate.
