Copenhagen MatchUp is Denmark’s largest games industry matchmaking event. Pairing investors & publishers from across the Worlds with the best of the Danish Games industry both online and on-site in April. 

Investor/publisher participation in the on-site event is by invitation only. The online part is open for all. 

The on-site event will take place at the historic Stock Exchange Hall in the heart of Copenhagen.

Copenhagen MatchUp matches entrepreneurs and SMEs in the gaming industry with publishers, investors, and other relevant players to facilitate companies’ innovation and access to the international, digital market.

The event started as an investment event in 2017 and has grown year by year. In 2023, 111 unique companies participated in the event: 39 investors / publishers and 72 Danish SMEs. 31 of the participating investing / publishing companies were international. All in all, 132 people participated in the event for online- and on site meetings.

Among the concrete results that can be traced directly back to the event is an investment agreement between the Finnish investor Behold Ventures and Danish startup studio Eddaheim (2021) as well as a partnership between Danish Betadwarf and British London Venture Partners (2018). Other examples include Danish developer Hutlihut and publisher Focus Entertainment partnering up to send Void Crew to early access (2023) as well as Ghost Ship Publishing investing in developer Bitfire Games’ DarkSwarm and developer Northplay’s Dino Lords.
