RENO, Nev. (AP) — Monarch Casino & Resort Inc. on Wednesday reported third-quarter earnings of $27.6 million.

Monarch owns Monarch Casino Resort Spa in Black Hawk, Colorado, and the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa in Reno, Nevada.

On a per-share basis, the Reno-based company said it had net income of $1.47.

The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.37 per share.
