New Haven could be one step closer to realizing its mayor’s vision of transforming the city into a tourist destination.

A newsletter published Friday indicates a casino that currently has a home overlooking the Ohio River in southeast Indiana may be moving further north — more specifically, to New Haven. That’s according to information issued by Hannah News Service, a provider of statehouse news for Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois, South Carolina, and Ohio.

Full House Resorts, Inc. oversees Rising Star Casino Resort. Its Rising Sun hotel is in Ohio County, on Indiana’s southeastern border near Cincinnati, and its revenue has been on the decline.
