Rank Group Bounces Back To Profit
Share This TagsThe financial year ending on June 30, 2024, marked a significant milestone for Rank Group. After reporting a loss of £123.3 million the previous year, the company has now jumped back into profit, recording a profit before tax of £15.5 million.
One of the key factors behind Rank’s financial resurgence has been its ability to drive revenue growth. The group’s underlying LFL (like-for-like) net gaming revenue reached £734.4 million, representing a 9% increase from the previous year’s figure of £671.4 million. The performance can be attributed to the company’s strategic investments in its venues and proprietary technology.
John O’Reilly, the Chief Executive of The Rank Group, highlighted the company’s focus on rebuilding profitability, investing in its people, products, and facilities, and leveraging its proprietary technology to deliver a seamless and tailored cross-channel experience for its customers.
While Rank’s financial turnaround is a positive one, the company is not without its challenges. One key headwind identified by the group is the expected increase in employment costs, which are anticipated to rise by a further 7% in the 2024/25 financial year.
