Officials, coaches, and players involved in teams in England’s professional leagues are not allowed to place soccer bets. The FA does not believe that the 60-year-old placed bets on games in which his team was playing.

The former Wales player is the latest high-profile individual under scrutiny for betting offenses. Brentford striker Ivan Toney completed an eight-month suspension in January and Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali is nearing the end of his ten-month ban.
