Young sports bettors are gravitating toward bet365 compared to other sports betting apps, according to a recent survey from YouGov.
The survey, which polled 2,000 U.S. sports bettors from Jan. 5-18, found that 31% of bettors aged 21-24 use bet365. That was the most of any betting app, with DraftKings (25%) and FanDuel (22%) closely behind. ESPN BET also found decent results among 21-to-24-year-old bettors, with 18% of them using the platform, which launched in November.
According to the survey, bet365 was also popular among bettors ages 25-34. Of that age demographic, 40% of them use bet365 compared to 31% for DraftKings and 29% for FanDuel.
Bet365 is available in 11 U.S. states, including New Jersey, North Carolina, and Ohio.
DraftKings (37%) and FanDuel (36%) were the most popular betting apps among those aged 35-44. Those two apps were also the only two with more than 20% usage among bettors 45-54 years old, with bet365 recording 12%.
DraftKings was the app of choice for sports bettors over the age of 55, with 46% of those bettors using the platform compared to 34% using FanDuel.
