An unnamed Pennsylvanian won $1.49 million playing the online slot Cleopatra on Feb. 7, the largest jackpot ever awarded by Golden Nugget Online Casino.

A mere five days later, an anonymous Michigambler — a tidy amalgam of “Michigan” and “gambler,” in case that’s not obvious — came very close to eclipsing the Keystone Stater’s mark, earning $1.42 million while playing 88 Fortunes.

According to a press release, the record-setting win came on a $2.10 bet, while the Wolverine State haul was on a $5.38 wager.

“We are always thrilled when customers win big, especially when it’s a monumental win, taking home the largest Golden Nugget Online Casino jackpot to date,” said Jason March, vice president of iGaming marketing and operations at DraftKings, which completed its acquisition of Golden Nugget’s online property in 2022. “We look forward to celebrating our next million-dollar jackpot winner.”
